Role

CEMVO Scotland is a national intermediary organisation with the aim of building the capacity of the ethnic minority voluntary sector and its communities. We provide support to a network of over 600 ethnic minority organisations throughout Scotland.

You will require extensive knowledge and understanding of race / equality issues and development of organisational anti-racist actions to enable you to fulfill the mainstreaming work required for this post. In this role, you will work as part of a team to provide race equality mainstreaming support to organisations across different sectors, including provision of consultancy type support to help develop anti-racist actions and facilitating engagement between mainstream sectors and ethnic minority groups / communities.

The work will also involve designing and delivering anti-racist training to wide audiences so good training skills are required. Good project management experience will also be essential as the post holder will provide the lead in various race related initiatives that contribute to the Scottish Government’s Race Equality Framework for Scotland 2016-30 and Action Plans.
