Help us to build solutions to poverty and trauma in Scotland
The Robertson Trust’s mission across this decade is to reduce the impacts of poverty and trauma in Scotland, and to build long-term solutions by funding, supporting and influencing change that lasts. We have committed to spend an average of £25M per year to advance our goals – and we have prepared a new Social Impact Investment plan that will see us invest up to £20M in addition to our core grant-making activities.
We shape our contribution around four primary themes: Financial Security, Work Pathways, Education Pathways and Emotional Wellbeing & Relationships. We also seek to build solutions that deliver our cross-cutting objectives on climate change and our DEI approach which we call EDPR (Equity, Diversity, Participation and Rights).
We are now recruiting four board members who will contribute to delivery of the Trust’s mission.
Whether you have previous board experience or not, we are actively seeking new ideas, perspectives and challenge. We want to encourage applications from people with diverse cultural or ethnic backgrounds to enrich the experience we currently have on the board.
We particularly welcome applications from interested people with lived or professional experience in any of these areas:
The board meets five times per year and Trustees are asked to serve on one of five committees during their term. The term is for four years and can be extended by the same period. For ongoing support, you will be matched with a Board buddy and offered development opportunities.
