The Alumni & Development team at Strathclyde would like to invite an experienced Development Manager to join their successful major gifts fundraising team. This is an exciting time to be joining the University as it celebrates its 60th anniversary year in 2024. You will be responsible for the strategic development of fundraising programmes for the University’s four faculties and, in particular, for our renowned Engineering and Science faculties. This role will raise funds through the development of relationships with a wide range of alumni, trusts and foundations and company supporters. You will be someone who enjoys meeting new people, conducting face-to-face meetings with potential donors for major gifts (often gifts of £25,000+). You will support a variety of fundraising campaigns to advance the University’s research and teaching and you will share its vision with donors through compelling funding proposals. You will be confident working with senior staff across the University to identify, involve and thank major donors. The role is also responsible for the line management of a major gift fundraising Officer and you will work closely and collaboratively with the wider fundraising team of 8 staff including 4 major gift fundraisers. You will work particularly closely with the Head of Philanthropy to support new campaigns and transformational giving opportunities. You will also be part of the department’s management team.

The Volunteer Support Coordinator will develop and enhance Sunny Govan Community Radio’s volunteer programme, providing structured support, training, and development opportunities. The role is critical for creating a high-quality volunteer experience, ensuring volunteers are empowered, valued, and able to contribute meaningfully to the organisation.
The Coordinator will document processes and systems to help the organisation move towards the ‘Investing in Volunteers’ (IiV) standard, the UK quality standard for good practice in volunteer management. Job Description
We are looking for a driven, dynamic & compassionate individual to lead our East Dunbartonshire Young People & Family Service. Our service provides free, confidential support to Young People and Families who are affected by their own or a loved ones substance use. We deliver a wide range of interventions including one to one support sessions, structured group-work, wellbeing activities. We can also provide in-house Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
You will strive to work collaboratively with partners and local communities, ensuring that we are as accessible as possible and that we deliver trauma informed support with the principles of a Recovery Oriented System of Care at the heart of all that we do. You will lead your team, providing development and clear direction aligned with the organisational aims and be a strong advocate for WithYou externally, maintaining and building our profile as you go. An SVQ Level 4 in Social Services and Health care & driving licence would be desirable for this post.
This is a permanent, full-time role working 37.5 hours per week between Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm, with some evening and weekend flexibility as required. The salary for this position is £29,272.60 per annum.
