Resilience Peer Mentor

Role

This is an exciting new partnership pilot scheme aimed at reducing substance misuse, anti-social and violence through early intervention and prevention and supporting young people to become more resilient, confident and capable of fulfilling their potential. This is joint initiative between Stirling community and Police Scotland and is part of Stilring Community Enterprise's commitment to the Promise.

You will be passionate about reducing inequalities and empowering young people to achieve their potential. Drawing upon your own personal 'lived experience' you will build relationships with young people based upon SCE's core values of respect, honesty, trust and compassion, supporting them to access positive destinations. Working in partnership with Community Police, Go Forth and Stirling Council's Youth Participation Team, you will offer a visible, approachable and personable presence within the City Centre, engage with local business owners, local people and visitors to create and promote and safer, positive experience within Stirling, while putting the positive futures of young people at the heart of everything you do.
