Our education and employment services are core to what we do at Helm. We provide young people with the support, qualifications and experience required to build the skills and knowledge to secure and maintain employment. We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to support young people to increase their knowledge and skills in numeracy and move on to a sustainable progression.
Key responsibilities in the role include:
• Key Worker to your own caseload of young people, working effectively to build their knowledge and skills in numeracy and support and progress them to a sustainable progression.
• Ensure set targets and outcomes are met relating to your caseload and contractual requirements in programme delivery.
• Assess young people’s skills and identify their needs and support required in order to produce an individual training plan, which is agreed and understood by them.
• Plan and organise a range of individual or group activities (in-house/outside) to best support the needs of young people.
• Resource, prepare and deliver training, obtaining feedback from young people to assess programme effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
