The Service

WDP Redbridge is an established, integrated community service delivered across several provisions in the Borough. The service consists of both clinical and psychosocial elements and is CQC registered to provide a range of clinical interventions including BBV and health interventions, OST, and community detox, as well as having family and carers and service user involvement provision.

Together we offer a wide range of pharmacological, psychosocial, recovery-orientated, health focused and inpatient interventions that support individuals and their families who wish to receive advice, assessment, and treatment for their drug and/ or alcohol related needs.

The role

The Community Care Assessor will be responsible for providing support, guidance and lead on safeguarding and community care assessments. We are looking for a dynamic, motivated, and caring individual with safeguarding experience and an understanding of inpatient and residential treatment processes. A social worker qualification would be an added advantage but is not a mandatory requirement for this role.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Completing community care assessments for inpatient and residential treatment placements
  • Preparing service users for inpatient residential treatment
  • Being the designated safeguarding lead across the service provisions
  • Providing safeguarding advice, support, and guidance within the service
  • Managing and monitoring safeguarding processes, pathways, and practice.

Location

The role is predominantly based in Ilford Chambers, and will involve travel to external meetings and satellites within the borough, and to other WDP locations as needed.
