Our Purpose

Career Ready’spurpose is toboost social mobilityand transform young people’s life chances and aspirations through learning about career pathways and experiencing the real world of work. Young people leave the Career Ready programme more work ready having made an informed choice about their future career destiny with a plan in place to achieve it, whether via further/higher education, employment, or self-employment.

Career Ready is all about great partnerships between employers, Local Authorities, Head Teachers, and schools, transforming young lives along the way. We recognise the potential in students from all backgrounds but are focused on giving students with little family background of higher education or professional careers, the confidence, skills and networks to achieve their potential –our social mobility focus.

As apassionateand experienced professional in the management of greatpartnerships, you will be able to assess and engage with the changing contexts in which Career Ready operates. In line with our values and approach, you will continue our work with stakeholders who directly prepare young people for the world of work, increasing their employment chances and growing the number of sustainable business-education relationships that contribute to the delivery of our high quality and impactful programme.
