Role

Are you passionate about supporting vulnerable young people to realise their potential? Can you work in school as part of a dedicated national team to support young people to get the very best from the education system? If so, this role may be for you.

At MCR, our driving force is simple – that young people who are in, or on the edges of the care system, will have the same educational outcomes, career opportunities and life chances as any other young person.

MCR young people tell their stories far better than us. Hear them in their own words in these short films of young people who have participated in the programme, reflecting on how mentoring has helped them create better futures for themselves:

Bridges That Transform

We have had a transformational impact in schools and local authorities across Scotland and are looking for a Pathways Coordinator to join our regional team in Aberdeenshire. The successful candidate will primarily be based in Fraserburgh Academy, supporting and learning from existing teams. Within this role, you will be an integral part of the school community, liaising with education colleagues and external stakeholders, and delivering the programme to young people.
