Looking for a new challenge in Mental Health support work? Get ready to be excited about your work again!
Fife Carers Centre has a wonderful opportunity for the right person to make a big impression on the mental wellbeing of carers in Fife. This new post will focus on carers who need support with their own mental health as well as carers of people with mental health conditions.
We recognise that carers are operating under enormous pressure much of the time and as a result many find themselves struggling to maintain their own mental health. The Mental Health Carer Support worker will use their knowledge and experience and combine it with imagination, energy, creativity and flair to help carers develop sturdiness and resilience in their mental wellbeing, equip them with the tools and skills to recognise when they need to pay attention and take care of themselves and to help them plan a way to develop and retain good mental health. You'll also help carers of people with Mental Health conditions understand those conditions and learn how best to support that person.
This is a new post so you have the chance to develop something that combines working one to one and group work, activities and therapies - and to try out ideas that will make a difference. You will work with the excellent Fife Carers Centre Carer Support Team and develop relationships with other organisations to deliver a programme of support that really works for the carers in Fife.
This is a challenging role and chances like these don't come along often so if you think you are the right person for this opportunity make the most of it and apply today!
