We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring, creative, forward thinking and dedicated person to help manage our Residential Care Worker team within Adult Services. You will ensure our residents receive the highest quality of care and support. Our team take pride in promoting good relationships with our young adults to empower and encourage a sense of achievement.
You will come to us with proven experience of leading a team supporting people with Vision Impairment and Additional Support Needs, disabilities or medical conditions. Ideally, you will have excelled in this in a similar setting. Our development programme will help and encourage you to develop skills in working with our clients.
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team will be second nature to you as will your ability to adapt and respond positively to the unexpected. You will have a key role to play in the implementation and administration associated with care plans, rotas, health and safety and other records and in making sure everyone works within our policies and procedures.
You must hold an HNC in Social Care plus SVQ 4 (or an equivalent qualification) and be eligible to register with SSSC (or another appropriate professional body). This post is subject to a PVG Record/Update. All our residents need 24-hour support, so we need you to be able to work shifts, including weekends, sleepovers and on-call.
