Aberlour’s Options Aberdeen service is entering into an exciting new phase with a significant expansion of the service working across our two residential bases in Bucksburn and Garthdee in Aberdeen. Options Aberdeen has a strong reputation in providing a range of services to children and young people with complex and profound disabilities throughout Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire.
Our new expanded service has been developed in partnership with Aberdeen City Council and Grampian Autistic Society. It expands and builds on our existing provision, creating a hub which offers care at home, community and residential short breaks enabling children with disabilities and their families to be supported though an exciting tailored programme of activities. It enables the children to have new experiences and make new friends while giving their parents the vital opportunity to recharge their batteries. As well as offering community-based outreach services, residential short breaks and care at home, the Hub will provide holistic family support through a menu of services that supports and complements direct support offered to children and young people.
“Aberlour Options Aberdeen for us has been a godsend. Our lives have changed at home. They listen to your views and try and help with whatever is the problem.” Parent
