Quarriers “Lifestyle Management Project” seeks to develop a Self-Management Ethos within the clinical setting of our William Quarrier Scottish Epilepsy Centre (WQSEC). We will do this in partnership with The Thistle Foundation and a steering group comprising people we support, carers, WQSEC staff, including our in-house psychologist and wider health and care stakeholders.

Our vision is to develop culture and practices which enable people, whilst inpatients, to explore their own situation, gain insight, skills and impetus to make changes once home and in their own communities. We will use the House of Care model to build an ethos where patients can define what is important to themselves, work collaboratively with their team of healthcare workers once they leave the WQSEC.

We are looking for a part time Lifestyle Management Project Worker (24 hours) to lead the development and embedding of a new Lifestyle Management ethos within the WQSEC that promotes patient choice, engagement and effective self management. To enable patients to make positive life choices and develop self-management techniques to fulfil their potential as confident and independent individuals when back in their home community.

Please note that IT skills are required for all Quarriers vacancies.
