Role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape Scran Academy’s new and innovative 16+ employability and leadership programme – Scransitions.

Thanks to funding from the Young Start Programme run by the National Lottery Community Fund and Walter Scott Giving Group, we are looking for a dynamic youth practitioner with a passion for young people and seeing them develop in life. The purpose of the role is to provide tailored support to young people, helping them to overcome a range of barriers to help them reach their full potential, and lead the development and delivery of Scransitions. This role is a critical point of contact for Scran young people, and you will be responsible for ensuring that young people are engaged across the organisation. In short, this role is about defending, caring, engaging and empowering young people.

You will be joining an inspiring team of 7 staff based in North Edinburgh along with our numerous volunteers, Trustees, and partners. This role suits someone who enjoys a flexible, dynamic, and fulfilling work life and wants to make a difference to young people who need us most.

Hours & Benefits:

Our new Scransitions programme will commence in early August 2021 with hours being determined as mutually agreed and required. This (unsurprisingly) will involve evening and weekend work on occasions.

This post attracts 3.5% employers pension contribution and 25 days annual leave, exclusive of public holidays. You will benefit from an inspiring and ever-changing workplace. Additional training and leadership opportunities will be offered.
