Role

Compassionate Distress Response Service for 16-25 year olds

Glasgow Association for Mental Health is one of the principle providers of community mental health services in Greater Glasgow. We have been commissioned by Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership to deliver a Compassionate Distress Response Service. This work has been developed with the aim of providing a more appropriate response to people in distress who do not require a medical or clinical intervention.

We currently have a day time and out of hour’s service. We have been commissioned to deliver an additional component for young people between the ages of 16-25yr.

This project is for one year but may be extended subject to funding

We wish to appoint the following;

2 x Distress Response Workers -Daytime service (REF: DRW/DAYYP)

37.5 hours per week: Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm

£22,440 per annum

2 x Distress Response Workers -Out of Hour’s service (REF: DRW/OOHYP)

Monday to Sunday 4.45pm – 2am

£22,440 per annum

Rota will consist of 4 nights on and 4 nights off at 9.38 hours per night

1 x Distress Response Pathways Development Worker (REF: DRW/DW)

37.5 hours per week: Mainly during ‘In Hours’ with some flexibility to work out of hours.

£ 24,000 per annum

A key component of the job will be risk management and safety planning.

Knowledge of the SCCC Codes of Practice and the National Care Standards and how these frameworks apply to practice is preferred for all posts.
