Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park covers over 720 square miles of Scotland’s finest countryside which welcomes over 4 million visitors each year. From the stunning sea lochs and rugged coastline through the majestic glens and breath taking Loch & Ben Lomond, Scotland’s first National Park truly is a magical place.
The Loch Lomond & The Trossachs Countryside Trust aims to help conserve and improve the landscape and ecology of the National Park and to enhance the visitor experience of its environment. Its work includes:
The Trust would like to appoint an outstanding individual to help them take forward their ambitious plans. It is a demanding role that will require a broad skill set including people and financial management, the ability to engage effectively with communities and exceptional relationship-building skills. Candidates are likely to have a background in environmental and/or green health project development, strong commercial acumen, good understanding of the relevant sectors and evidence of previous success in developing and delivering medium-large scale projects. A track record in income generation, marketing and fundraising would be desirable.
The post holder will be required to explore and develop the potential for new initiatives both within and beyond existing projects. They will contribute significantly to strategic discussions and work closely with the Trustees.
