Our award winning Shared Living Programme was piloted in 2017 and following a successful partnership with DWP to incubate and launch the initiative, we are now seeking self motivated and passionate individuals to take the programme to the next level.
The Shared Living Link Worker role is ideal for someone who can build positive relationships and partnerships with housing associations, local authority housing officers, third sector organisations, and crucially, engage and support people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and who have aspirations to share a tenancy and commit to each other’s shared life goals.
The posts are full time for 1 year with possible extension (If no further funding is available, employees could be
accommodated into other services).

We’re recruiting a Senior Support Worker to lead frontline delivery of personalised, high-quality, and compassionate support to individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness. You’ll be part of a dedicated team delivering tenancy support, housing management assistance, and wellbeing services tailored to individual needs.
Eastfield is a high support needs service, supporting people with multiple and complex needs as such as substance use, mental health and physical health. This does not involve any personal care or administering any medication
Role and responsibilities
• Coordinate and deliver support plans addressing tenancy sustainment, substance use, mental health, housing needs, and personal development.
• Responsible for coordinating and maintaining staff rotas for their service.
• Work directly with individuals to help them achieve their goals, build life skills, and improve health and wellbeing.
• Act as a keyworker and oversee support delivery, ensuring accurate and professional records.
• Liaise with external partners, including housing teams, healthcare services, and advocacy groups.
• Provide leadership on shift and supervision to support workers in the absence of the Team Leader.
• Promote inclusion, empowerment, and trauma-informed practice in all areas of support.
Essential Skills and Attributes
• A recognised social care qualification at SCQF Level 6 or above.
• Experience working in adult social care, ideally in homelessness, housing support or mental health.
• Confident in report writing, support planning, and using digital systems.
• Understanding of SSSC codes of practice and Care Inspectorate standards.
• Strong values of compassion, dignity, and respect for all.
• Ability to read, speak and write in English at CEFR level B1 or higher.
• Commitment to the values and mission of Care Support Scotland, and to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion
Desired skills and attributes
• Previous social care practitioner (skilled worker) experience,
• Previous supervisory experience
• Previous specialist training experience directly related to the role.

Elpis Trust delivers a person centred housing support service to 19 young women who are experiencing homelessness or are care leavers aged between 16-25 years. The supported accommodation is based in the Core service and satellite flats in the Ruchill and Maryhill area of Glasgow. Elpis provides a high-quality support service which addresses young woman’ identified and assessed needs and reflects the aims of the service to work within relevant organisational and statutory policies, including health and safety, employment and equality laws. This includes adhering to Scottish Social Services Council codes of practice, National Care Standards and contractual requirements. Staffs work closely with the young women to write up support plans and deliver an individually tailored service, utilising Ladders to Success and GIRFEC, SHANARRI Outcomes.
Job Purpose:
To have specific working responsibility at present for 19 vulnerable young women, 9 living in the Core building and 10 in scatter flats (to include mother & baby flats) in the Ruchill and Maryhill areas of Glasgow.

About the Role

• We are seeking a Community Connector to join our new Women’s Homelessness Service in Midlothian. This is an exciting opportunity to support women who have experienced homelessness and multiple disadvantage.
• Working alongside support workers, the Community Connector will focus on helping women to build recovery capital – their personal resilience, social networks, and community connections. The role brings additional capacity for group work, community engagement, and peer-led activities, complementing the direct support already provided by the team.
• You will support women to set goals, explore their strengths and aspirations, and access opportunities that promote wellbeing, recovery, and inclusion. By co-designing groups and activities, and linking women into local services, volunteering, and community resources, you will play a key part in reducing isolation and repeat homelessness.
Who we are looking for?
• Experience of supporting people facing disadvantage or exclusion.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build trust, deliver 1:1 support, and facilitate group sessions.
• Understanding of the impact of homelessness and multiple disadvantage on women.
• Compassionate, resilient, and committed to inclusion and empowerment.
• A driver with access to a car is essential for this role.
What You will Do
• Provide 1:1 relational support, using tools such as Outcome Star (Home Star) to set and review goals.
• Facilitate co-designed group activities that promote wellbeing, creativity, and peer support.
• Support women experiencing multiple disadvantage to strengthen their recovery capital.
• Build connections with local partners (e.g. Women’s Aid, recovery networks, community groups) to expand opportunities for women.
• Advocate alongside women to ensure their voices are heard and rights are respected.
• Work in a trauma-informed, gender-responsive, and strengths-based way.
(Experience in women’s services, homelessness, or recovery is desirable but not essential. Lived experience is valued.)

Our psychology team within the organisation is continuing to grow, demonstrating their value and importance to our ever evolving services and support. We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist to lead on this work in our West of Scotland teams and take an active leadership role within the organisation. The key focus of this role will be to support the organisation to continue to implement psychologically informed environment principles and trauma informed care, creating and maintaining psychological safety for all. This work will be carried out under the supervision of a Prinicipal Clinical Psychologist external to Simon Community Scotland. The job plan will be agreed with the Director of Services, working independently within the framework, policies and procedures of the organisation. The job plan will cover both direct and indirect work, with more focus on indirect, it is an opportunity to use the range of skills of a Clinical Psychologist; leadership, formulation, consultation, supervision, research and service development. The job will include working across different services in the West of Scotland, including supported accommodation, community support hubs and outreach. develops and the postholder will be a key stakeholder in that review.
