EXPERIENCE /QUALIFICATIONS: prospective candidates should have a minimum of three years’ experience of working/volunteering in the voluntary sector, preferably with youth work experience.
PURPOSE OF JOB: This post is for a youth worker for Granton Youth GoLone Parents Programme. The post holder will support the team leader to work with lone parents aged 15-26. A three x weekly programme will address identified issues from participants to support an improvement in their life, social, practical, emotional and family skills. The aim of this project is to address particular needs and support young lone parents so they are able to engage in their community and reduce isolation and improve their future prospects. Prospective candidates must have some experience of youth work and working/volunteering with young adults. Experience of working in marginalised communities will be an advantage.
