Forth Valley Sensory Centre is a unique and award winning organisation who provide a range of support and services for people with Sensory Loss in Forth Valley. We take an innovative and creative approach to finding solutions that work. We are looking for someone to join our small, established team to help further extend the services we provide.
We are delighted to announce a newly created Employability Co-ordinator opportunity. This part-time post is partly funded by the Agnes Hunter Trust, Falkirk Health and Social Care See Hear fund and Chance to Succeed. We are seeking applicants who have an understanding of Sensory Loss conditions and who will build upon existing relationships and forge new partnerships.
The new Employability Co-ordinator will develop a caseload of job seekers and provide job seeking support to help people improve their chances of finding employment and training, and will have previous experience of similar work.
The role will involve close liaison with local and national employers to raise awareness of the benefits and support available to encourage the employment of people with sensory loss conditions. The successful applicant will also work closely with our Third Sector partners to promote access to technology, help and advice from expert organisations and support Access To Work applications.
The Co-ordinator will also be responsible for providing the administrative support to facilitate local See Hear Partnership network meetings and help take forward arising actions in collaboration with Centre partners.
