Role

The Eildon Group has built a strong reputation and risen to a position as one of Scotland’s leading Housing Associations. At the heart of our service is a deep commitment to excellence and the provision of high quality, affordable homes as well as care and support services for the individuals and communities we serve. We have achieved an impressive level of growth and quality service provision because we have an equally impressive collection of talented individuals working with us. Now, we need to add to that list. And that is where you come in.

You will manage Wilkie Gardens in Galashiels our new and exciting Extra Care service for older people. Wilkie Gardens will be complete late summer, and operational from October 2021. You will be key in ensuring we have the service in place to ensure tenants are provided with the means to maintain independent tenancies in a warm, friendly, and safe environment with a vibrant social hub. You will lead a team who will provide individual advice and practical care and support which meets the personalised needs of our tenants, in compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, policies and procedures.

You should have an SVQ4 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent, with a management qualification to meet SSSC registration requirements. As well as a passion for providing quality care services, you will have experience of working with older people within a community-based setting, ideally within a social tenancy environment. You should have experience of drawing up person-centered care and support plans as well as the ability to conduct risk assessments whilst managing resource allocation through rota management. You should be an inspirational, and forward-thinking manager with a strong focus on outcomes. You will be confident in your ability to inspire individuals and teams to deliver continuous improvement.

With strong leadership and positive management skills, you should be innovative, pragmatic, and resilient. You will need to be able to demonstrate a personal commitment and positive approach to Eildon’s vision and values to deliver an effective and valued service to our customers.

In return Eildon offer a competitive reward package including membership of SHAPS Defined Contribution Pension Scheme and a Health Cash Plan. Please note that this appointment will be subject to membership of the Disclosure Scotland PVG Scheme.
