We are looking for a full-time Events Officer to join our Fundraising Team. The individual will play a key role in:

• maximising income with a focus on events, corporate and individual fundraising

• raising the profile of Circle with a focus on internal and external communications and social media content

• work in partnership with colleagues across Circle in the development of fundraising for projects and activities

Applicants should have experience of engaging with different communities, including supporters, community groups and businesses, and encourage their support for Circle’s work to raise income.

Experience of sustaining and developing events, corporate and individual fundraising similar to our DARED running challenge, the Kiltwalk and other events is essential.

As part of the Circle Fundraising Team being able to contribute to the development and upkeep of the fundraising database and maintain complete and accurate records relating to fundraising, marketing and communications activities, and report on their performance on a regular basis to the management team as required would be advantageous.

Experience of managing an organisation’s internal and external content and communications through mediums such as newsletters, Twitter and Facebook would be advantageous.

Circle is a Scottish charity providing family support services to some of the most marginalised children and families in Scotland.

We are looking for a part-time Finance Officer/Administrator to join our Admin Team. The individual will play a key role in providing efficient, effective and high quality administrative support to the whole organisation, with a specific focus on finance, but also including IT & facilities and HR.

The successful candidate will be committed, hardworking and highly motivated.

Applicants should have experience of providing finance and administrative support in a busy office environment. Ideally, they will have experience of using a finance package such as Xero or Sage and will be skilled in Microsoft Office 365 (including Excel, Word and PowerPoint).

Experience of working with databases would be advantageous.

The successful applicant will be based in our Head Office in Edinburgh, with the option of hybrid working.

• to work in partnership with colleagues across Circle in the development of fundraising projects and activities

Applicants should have experience of the development and implementation of fundraising activities around trusts and foundations and be able to work with the management team to develop new trust and foundation income streams for project development and core costs.

Experience of maintaining positive relationships with trusts and foundations, making timely applications and re-applications, and to work with the Head of Operations and Project Managers to write timely reports for funders.

Supporting fathers of children affected by parental substance use to minimise the impact on the children

The Fathers’ Worker (as part of our Harbour Project) will provide support to fathers affected by substance use who have care of or contact with their children, or are looking to establish contact, by:

• enabling fathers and male carers to develop their parenting capacity and relationships with their children
• supporting fathers and male carers to address their substance use and attendant risks
• working with fathers and male carers to promote a safer lifestyle for the family

Funded by Corra Foundation and the Edinburgh Alcohol and Drug Partnership to 30 September 2024 (with possible extension).
