Our service in Galashiels provides free and confidential support to people experiencing issues with drugs or alcohol. We work with people on their own goals, whether that's staying safe and healthy, making a small change or stopping an unwanted habit.
We are currently looking to recruit enthusiastic and dynamic Recovery Workers to join our team in Galashiels on a casual basis. You must be motivated to work as part of a thriving and diverse team, ensuring recovery opportunities are available for individuals at any point in their recovery journey. Fundamentally, you will strive to work collaboratively with stakeholders, ensuring that the principles of a Recovery Oriented System of Care and true person centred practice are at the heart of all that we do.
What we’re looking for
Ideally the successful candidates will have outstanding communication skills and the ability to work effectively as a team player in a collaborative and supportive manner. You will be someone who thrives under pressure, has good time management and prioritisation skills and can work well with others.
In addition you will need to be positive, confident and well organised with experience of working with people in a recovery, health, social care or criminal justice setting.
An SVQ Level 3 in Social Services and Health Care is required as a minimum qualification and registration with the SSC will be essential.
