Role

Moving On Inverclyde is a recovery-focused community service with charitable status, supporting adults and family members experiencing problematic drug and alcohol use across Inverclyde. We have been operating in the locality since 2002. We provide a 4-stage programme of support including therapeutic one-to-one and groupwork, as well as recreational and other activities.

Due to the imminent retirement of the current postholder, we are seeking to recruit a Service Manager to take the service forward, manage and support our team of enthusiastic and committed staff, as well as carry out general management duties for the service.

The Service Manager will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience of health or social care work, preferably including work with issues related to alcohol and other drugs. A relevant professional qualification and a qualification in management at SCQF level 9/10 are essential.

This is a full time post (35 hours per week) for a fixed term of 12 months in the first instance, subject to continued funding beyond that period. Salary will be £35-38,000 per annum. The post may involve some unsocial hours (by negotiation). The post will be based at Moving On Inverclyde’s offices in Jamaica St., Greenock. There will be flexibility to do some work from home as appropriate.
