We have two vacancies and are looking to recruit voluntary committee members. If you are motivated by a positive desire to work with us in achieving our Vision of ‘Quality homes and excellent services for all’, then read on!
We are a Registered Social Landlord and Scottish Charity with 742 affordable rented homes across rural South Lanarkshire and the Clyde Valley. We have high tenant satisfaction levels and a track record of strong performance. Our challenges include improving the energy efficiency of our homes, supporting tenants through the cost of living crisis and establishing a community hub.
We need new committee members who have a range of skills and personal qualities who will strengthen our leadership in achieving the best we can for tenants and other service users. We are particularly interested in hearing from people with knowledge or experience in any of the following areas:
- Employment law and human resources
- Digital technologies
- Tenants/stakeholders in social housing
- Financial management or planning

Although Management Committee work is unpaid, we will reimburse out of pocket expenses, including care and travelling costs. We also provide comprehensive induction training as well as supporting ongoing personal development. The main reward though is knowing that you are part of a team that is helping to improve the lives of others.
Our Management Committee meets monthly in Lanark (usually held on the last Wednesday of the month – between 6.00 and 8.00pm).

Do you have an interest in the supply and provision of new homes, supporting communities, charity finance or charity governance? Do you want the opportunity to set strategy, improve your leadership skills, and make a difference to local communities? If you do, we would be very interested in hearing from you. The Association owns and rents over 2,000 social rented homes in the Angus and Dundee area. We are a registered Charity regulated by both OSCR and the Scottish Housing Regulator and have a staff team of around 50. Our Board of Management members are all volunteers and we value their time and commitment to deliver our aims. You will be reimbursed for out of pocket expenses.
Who we're looking for:
We welcome applications from those with a diverse range of backgrounds and experience and we are particularly interested in people with the following skills. There is no requirement to have had any previous Board experience. What is important is that you have the drive and passion to make a difference and that you are prepared to contribute to discussions that enable positive and collective decision making. We would be interested applicants with experience or an interest in:
- construction, design and the built environment/asset management
- renewable technologies/net zero
- human resources and people management
Successful applicants will receive effective induction and will be supported to learn new skills. The Board meetings are usually held on Wednesday mornings. Our full Board of Management meets 6 times a year. We have 4 sub committees that meet quarterly for Finance, Audit & Risk, Service Delivery, Development and Remuneration. Typically, Board members are on one of the sub committees making the commitment 10 meetings a year. Meetings are normally held in person in Arbroath however we can offer participation using Teams for members who cannot attend in person.

Following a recent restructure of our Services and Technical Departments, we have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Technical Officer. We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals who can demonstrate their commitment to delivering high quality projects to an excellent standard.
Located in the heart of Glasgow’s West End, you will be a key member of Technical Team, supporting our ambitious procurement and investment plans across Net-Zero initiatives, component replacement, Major Repairs, and Cyclical Maintenance projects with a view to ensuring Scottish Housing Quality Standards compliance, enhancing the quality of our homes, ensuring resident satisfaction; and improving our neighbourhoods.
The ideal candidate will have experience delivering a range of planned and ad-hoc major work, common repairs and investment initiatives, with sound working knowledge of preparing procurement business cases, work specifications and tenders. A relevant professional or vocational qualification (HND/SCQF level 8 or above) would be desirable.
A summary of key tasks include:
- Preparing procurement business cases in compliance with procurement strategy, ensuring timely preparation of work specifications and tenders, and contributing to tender evaluations, to meet project planning and governance objectives.
- Development of relevant consultant appointment service level agreements, appointment documentation and rolling performance monitoring / management.
- Delivering a range of planned / ad-hoc major works / common repair, Net-Zero, and investment initiatives including cyclical, SHQS & EESSH compliance projects, and component replacement as directed.
- Property inspections / reporting to assess compliance with SHQS / EESSH , to inform investment strategy.Pre and Post Contract administration in line with GWHA procurement strategy (including but not limited to preparing / contributing to tender documentation, tender evaluation, issuing instructions, ensuring contractor compliance).
- Assessing and addressing contractor performance in respect of quality and performance across all functions.

This is a key role within the organisation, you will work closely with and deputise for the Chief Executive Officer and be a Senior Management Team member delivering our vision, values and strategic objectives for our customers.
This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual to join Cadder Housing Association as we bring our financial accounting back in-house. In this role you will provide leadership, management and support to the finance and corporate services team in the delivery of effective financial management, treasury management, governance and compliance, human resource, IT and the corporate services function of the Association.
