We are looking for Senior Grant Advisors to join our growing Places for Everyone team.
Places for Everyone works across all 32 Scottish local authorities and you will be working with a range of organisations and people from local authorities and community groups to statutory bodies and educational institutions
As one of our Senior Grant Advisors, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of our Places for Everyone programme, overseeing and maximising the potential of our most complex and high value projects, as well as ensuring all projects are deliverable and meet or exceed best practice.
You will assess and make recommendations on applications for funding, as well as providing support and working with partners at varying stages of project development from strategic definition and feasibility through to design and construction. You will actively work to ensure all projects are deliverable and meet or exceed best practice.
Candidates should be based within Scotland with some travel is expected to meet with partner organisations and attend our main hub in Edinburgh to collaborate with colleagues. Day to day work can be from a nominated hub/office base in Glasgow or Edinburgh, or the option to work from home is available. The role will offer a mix of on-site visits and meetings, online/telephone calls and desk-based work.
About you
You will have demonstrable experience in managing projects or programmes in a relevant field, with an understanding of infrastructure project lifecycles from pre-concept to construction and maintenance, as well as the legislative and policy context. You will also have experience of large grant funding programmes, their needs, and processes.
You will have excellent communication skills and be able to easily tailor your style to different audiences, allowing you to effectively liaise with a wide range of partners and build successful relationships internally and externally.
