This is an exciting time for the Parkinson’s UK team in Scotland; we want to reach as many people as possible so we can improve life for everyone affected by Parkinson’s. We are looking for people to join our network, make genuine connections, and be part of a larger team that works together to support the Parkinson’s community.

About the role

You’ll be responsible for driving forward the charity’s plans and activity, working with the vision and reflecting the needs of our communities in Scotland. You’ll grow, facilitate and inspire a movement of people that has a positive impact both locally and nationally.

You’ll lead collaboration, joint planning, shared ownership and delivery of our work to develop a people powered movement, uniting behind a vision of improving the lives of everyone affected by Parkinson's in Scotland.

We’ll consider applications for those wishing to work 28 hours a week.

What you’ll do

  • Build and develop local partnerships, collaborations and coalitions to achieve innovative and creative responses with positive outcomes that will meet identified needs
  • Create an inclusive model of feedback, collaboration and communication that increases participation and involvement across diverse communities, staff, volunteers, other strategic partners and most importantly people affected by Parkinson’s in Scotland.
  • Source and analyse data and local intelligence to support the community in Scotland to make informed decisions about priorities and evaluate interventions

What you’ll bring

  • Demonstrable experience of engaging, inspiring and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders including those from diverse communities
  • A commitment to working collaboratively with volunteers
  • Knowledge and/or experience of appropriate health, social care structures and services relevant to Parkinson’s and of the principles of influencing for change
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and coordinate, oversee and ensure delivery of a number of projects simultaneously
  • Experience of data sourcing and analysis to provide reports and information for a range of audiences
