The families we support often experience difficulties and or challenges in their everyday lives. These include loneliness and isolation, poor mental health, illness, disability, poverty, gender based violence, relationship breakdowns and trauma. We provide 1:1 and/or group support to families in their home and community.
As a senior family support worker you will experienced in working alongside families to assess strengths and needs as well as plan, deliver and evaluate interventions and strategies, which enable families to thrive. You will have experience of child and adult protection issues.
It is essential you have:
The focus of our support, is on building person-centred strengths-based relationships, which involves the ability to quickly build rapport with a wide range of participants, to ensure positive longer term outcomes for parent/carers and their children. Having lived experience of any of these issues would be an advantage. Experience of working with families who have complex issues, such as trauma, is highly desirable.
Working hours are generally through the week, with occasional evening and weekend work required. (Blended office-based/working from home)
