This is an exciting opportunity to carry out an important role within an innovative partnership between Children 1st and East Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership.
Over past few years, alongside East Renfrewshire’s HSCP, the Family Wellbeing Service has aligned itself to the needs of families in order to support the emotional wellbeing of children and young people aged 8-18 who live within the East Renfrewshire area. We have a number of different ways of supporting families; however, relationship have always remained at the heart of everything we do.
As a member of the East Renfrewshire Family Wellbeing Service, you will offer the whole family space and time to tell their stories and, with them, agree on how we can best help. You will embrace our relational and restorative approach to practice to help families make sense of their difficulties and help life feel better.
If you have a passion for working alongside families, have experience of keeping children safe, are committed to restorative approaches, and have a professional qualification in a relevant area such as Social Work, Teaching or equivalent in Child Care/Social Care or related area, accredited counselling qualification, or other relevant qualification at SCQF level 9 or higher then we want to hear from you. In particular, we are seeking to further enhance our diversity from the perspective of ethnic origin, sexual orientation, gender and disability.
Base
Your base will be shared between our office in Giffnock and home working as well as meeting families within their local community.
Salary, Conditions, Pension
We will offer you a competitive salary, generous annual leave entitlement (40 days inclusive of 9 public holidays, pro rata), flexible working opportunities and a contributory pension scheme.
Hours
This is a maternity cover post for 12 months. 35 hours to be worked flexibly to meet the needs of families and the service. However, Wednesdays are seen as our ‘core day’ when essential service activities take place such as team meetings.
Closing date: 2nd September, 12:00
Interview date: It is anticipated that the interviews will take place on Monday 26 September 2022.
