Role

CSE Advisor - Project Worker 3 (11894) RISE in Highland is a partnership between Barnardo's Scotland, Highland Child Protection Committee, Highland Council, Police Scotland, and other local stakeholders.

This wider service has been operational since 2016. However the service in Inverness is separately funded and represents an evolution of similar posts elsewhere in that it will be locally (Highland) supported, locally managed and overseen and supported by a local senior stakeholder group.

The aim is to develop and deliver a local (Highland) Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) support network that will draw on the skills, knowledge and intelligence of key agencies and provide a coordinated response to CSE. The post will also benefit from a broader CSE Advisor network which currently involves similar posts co-located within 4 of Police Scotland's 14 Divisions.

We have an exciting opportunity for a full time CSE Advisor, who has the ability to work remotely across a large geographic area. The post will be locally managed and locally supported by a senior Stakeholder Group.

This post is based within Inverness Police Headquarters - goo.gl/maps/hYQ7uXRUsmMV7eJa7

At Barnardo's we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and we expect all staff and volunteers to share in this commitment. Our safer recruitment processes mean that the safety and welfare of the child is paramount at every stage of the process and therefore, we adopt rigorous scrutiny in our pre-employment checking. This post is subject to a range of pre-employment checks including a Criminal Records Enhanced Disclosure for the successful candidate.
