  • 25 flexible leave days plus 10 public holidays, increasing to 27 days after 5 years of service. Hybrid working (negotiable). 4% matched contribution workplace pension scheme. Laptop and mobile phone for all staff.

Role

The Role

We are looking for a Support & Communications Manager to head our Support & Information team and lead the provision of comprehensive information and support to families and professionals through communications, resources, and Helpline services.

Our Support & Communications Manager will:

  • Deliver a comprehensive multi–platform information and communications service for families affected by imprisonment
  • Manage the provision of a comprehensive information and support service for families, and for professionals working with families
  • Lead on the development and implementation of an effective Communications Strategy in line with our overall strategic aims

About You

We are looking for an individual who is:

  • Able to lead effective communications strategies which across a range of social media and other digital platforms
  • Experienced in and understands website and social media development and management
  • Experienced in delivering a service to users within a support environment
  • In possession of strong leadership skills, including performance management, training, and team development
  • Knowledgeable about the criminal justice system would be desirable
  • Understanding of, and able to demonstrate, a commitment to the aims and values of Families Outside

Imprisonment can often have a huge impact on the things that matter most to families: money and secure housing, safe and connected relationships at home and in the community, and the emotional health and wellbeing of families. Families Outside is dedicated to providing a range of practical, social, and emotional support to people with someone in prison that are relationship-based, prison-aware, and family-focused.
