The Customer Service Manager is responsible for making sure our service is great for our veg box subscribers.
You’ll be responsible for all things customer facing including managing our small customer service team who answer phones and emails to assist current and potential customers with their queries or issues. Thanks to new software this function is much reduced with customers able to make changes to their orders and book weeks off through their online account. As such we mostly hear from people when they want to find out more or when things have gone wrong and need made right.
Working with our own growers and preferred suppliers you’ll decide what goes in veg boxes each week and maintain our stock levels of other groceries and subscriptions. You’ll impart passion and excitement of local, organic seasonal produce onto our customers, team and potential customers through activities including social media and newsletters.
All of this is aimed to increase customer satisfaction and retention as well as attract new customers and encourage them to buy more of their food from us.
You will have a very close working relationship with our Veg Box Fulfilment Manager who will take over the management of all things warehouse, packing and delivery.

About East Lothian Foodbank (ELFB) & our Money Advice Service
ELFB provides food and emergency daily essentials to local people who are experiencing hardship in East Lothian.
As an independent Scottish charity, we are fortunate to also be part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by Trussell, working together to ensure no one in the UK needs a food bank to survive.
In addition to emergency food, we also offer a money advice service for our service users to help them maximise income and benefit entitlement. Since October 2022, our money advice service has supported people out of hardship and achieved significant financial gains, of over half a million pounds.
About the Role
We are looking for the right person to join our team to support us with the continued success of our project. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and positive individual to help people using our foodbank to access our money advice service. To achieve this, you will collaborate closely with our advice partners to ensure that our service continues to helpthose most in need of our support.
As a team player, you will provide essential support to the operations team by identifyingindividuals requiring financial assistance, co-ordinating referrals to our advice partners andmonitoring of advice service capacity. Additionally, to ensure we meet a standard 24hr response time of our referral processing, you will occasionally support our service coordinator to give people in crisis timely access to our support.

Job Description
We are looking for a driven, dynamic & compassionate individual to lead our East Dunbartonshire Young People & Family Service. Our service provides free, confidential support to Young People and Families who are affected by their own or a loved ones substance use. We deliver a wide range of interventions including one to one support sessions, structured group-work, wellbeing activities. We can also provide in-house Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
You will strive to work collaboratively with partners and local communities, ensuring that we are as accessible as possible and that we deliver trauma informed support with the principles of a Recovery Oriented System of Care at the heart of all that we do. You will lead your team, providing development and clear direction aligned with the organisational aims and be a strong advocate for WithYou externally, maintaining and building our profile as you go. An SVQ Level 4 in Social Services and Health care & driving licence would be desirable for this post.
This is a permanent, full-time role working 37.5 hours per week between Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm, with some evening and weekend flexibility as required. The salary for this position is £29,272.60 per annum.
