Role

Shettleston is a community based housing association, and a Scottish Charity, which has played a major role in the regeneration of the local area for 45 years

The Association serves the people and communities of Shettleston, Greenfield, Springboig and Sandyhills and our Vision is of “Thriving and prosperous local communities where all residents enjoy great homes and services, an attractive physical environment and good life chances”.

We have always been more than just a landlord and have a great track record of developing projects and services to benefit the community. This new post will report directly to our Director of Customer & Community Services and play a key role in the ongoing fulfilment of our social purpose.

We are seeking an experienced community development practitioner with a substantial track record of working with local people to identify needs and develop successful projects and services.

The successful candidate will be a “social entrepreneur” with excellent knowledge of funding frameworks, great project management skills and an ability to make things happen. They will need to be a team player, capable of developing strong and effective partnerships with local organisations and agencies to maximise the benefit for the local area.
