The role
This role is in the Home Energy Scotland team at Energy Saving Trust. Home Energy Scotland is a Scottish Government programme managed by Energy Saving Trust. We are a network of local advice centres covering all of Scotland. Our expert advisors offer free, impartial advice on energy saving, renewable energy, sustainable transport, waste prevention and more.
You will be a key player, working with specialist Energycarers and advisors in the Home Energy Scotland advice centres, Energy Saving Trust colleagues in the Home Energy Scotland team and with external stakeholders to support the successful delivery of the fuel poverty programmes.
What you’ll do
Reporting to the Partnership and Improvement Manager, you will assist with all elements of programme management. This will include engaging with a variety of external stakeholders, monitoring of progress against project plans and preparing reports.
· Support and manage correspondence relating to Warmer Homes Scotland application appeals and complex cases, helping householders get support to manage their energy use and costs.
· Provide guidance to advice centres on applications for Warmer Homes Scotland, and for crisis funding, for vulnerable fuel poor households.
· Support the specialist advisors and Energycarers in the Home Energy Scotland network who work directly with vulnerable households with training, information, processes, and reporting.
What you’ll bring
· Excellent communication skills
Ability to work to deadlines, handle change, solve problems and make tactical and strategic decisions
Knowledge of energy efficiency and fuel poverty, interest in social justice and sustainability
This is a permanent position. We are open to flexible working patterns and blended (home and office-based) working is possible for this role.
