This role is central to our relationships – based approach to working with our tenants and within the communities where we have homes - reducing tenants’ social isolation, improving confidence and skills, and making things happen within our communities. You will work closely with the wider HFG team, local people and community partner organisations to access services, develop an events programme and access local training and leisure opportunities. This will include both online and face to face activities and events, working with tenants on a one to one basis and as part of a group, or through social media engagement.

The Service
LinkLiving’s HoME service (Help on Managing Everything) provides an intensive housing management service to Link Housing Association tenants who are struggling to maintain their tenancies.
The Job
The purpose of the job is to provide practical and emotional support to people who have been referred to the service who’s condition of property requires specialist support. Through building positive relationships with tenants, you will work with them to maintain their home, working closely with Housing Officers as well as the wider Mental Health & Wellbeing Services team.
You will be responsible for the provision of individually tailored one to one support. The service you provide will focus on the safety and well-being of clients creating a supportive environment which to address the issues they are experiencing with their tenancy. This role will require a high level of multiagency working.
About You
You’ll be someone with a good standard of general education. With a genuine understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with complex needs, you will have experience supporting clients with a range of issues and demonstrate a strong grasp of the skills required to live independently.
Your positive, can-do attitude will shine through in your hands-on approach to providing practical support, while your non-judgemental mindset and commitment to embracing diversity will be at the heart of how you work. You’ll bring excellent communication skills—written, verbal and digital—and be comfortable using IT systems, including online client management platforms.
You will have knowledge of available grants and resources for individuals on low incomes. Adaptability is key, as is the ability to build meaningful relationships and partnerships with other voluntary and statutory organisations.
You’ll be a proactive team player who can work openly and honestly within a team setting, while also being confident in prioritising and managing both your own workload. Reflective practice will be important to you—you’ll welcome feedback and support to ensure continuous improvement in your work.
A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential for this role.

The Service
Our Older Persons' Service addresses loneliness and social isolation among older people through volunteer befriending, social cafes, and our Help to Stay at Home service.
The Job
The Older Persons Service promotes social inclusion opportunities for isolated and lonely vulnerable older people, by providing 1:1 support in people’s own homes. Many of these older people have a dementia diagnosis and the regular contact that this service will bring will make a real difference to their day-to-day life. Older people will ideally benefit emotionally through shared interests and experiences with their matched staff member and also through practical assistance, such as help with transport to Health Services, including GP, dentist and hospital appointments, collection of prescriptions, support to attend appointments, shopping trips and social outings.
The purpose of the job is to provide this much-needed light touch support to our elderly service users while working closely with the project workers and volunteers to support the people who receive our services to become engaged and included within their communities.
About You
You will have good computer skills and the ability to use technology efficiently to maintain and update records, combined with a knowledge and understanding of the issues affecting older people, including dementia. The successful candidate will be able to work openly and honestly in a team setting and have an ability to prioritise their own caseload.
A valid driver's license and access to a car that can be used daily to travel between services as required is essential for this role.

Living Rent is continuing to build membership and power across Scotland. And just now, we are hiring a community organiser in Dundee. This post aims to support members to build power in their community and win real changes locally and nationally. You will be working with the organisers across Scotland to build and support branches of Living Rent in Dundee.

Living Rent is hiring a full-time community organiser to support members organise in their neighbourhoods to challenge the issues they face and to fight for better housing and a system that works for the common good. The role entails outreach (stalls, door knocking), recruiting members, and supporting members to organise meetings, take responsibilities locally, build democratic neighbourhood branches and take part in city-wide and national structures.
This post will specifically focus on targeting areas that are vulnerable to flooding, supporting people in those areas to organise around issues that they care about and learn about climate change and how to ensure that our homes and neighbourhoods are more prepared for its impacts.
The organiser will support members to research their issues, select relevant campaigns, define achievable wins , organise direct actions and support members in negotiations with relevant targets including private/ social landlords, private companies, the local municipality. You will aim to recruit members and support them to build power across Scotland.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about building real people power and excited about the chance to work for a young, diverse and member-run organisation. Experience in recruitment, training delivery, community education or campaigns is welcome; however enthusiasm, willingness to learn and commitment to social justice are more important than previous experience as training will be provided. This role may suit someone with experience in sales, street fundraising or other customer/public facing work, who wishes to move into organising.
This post is accountable to Living Rent’s democratic structures and line managed by Living Rent’s Wider Scotland Head Organiser. Living Rent staff members primarily work Monday - Friday between 11am and 7pm, though the work will sometimes need to be done at other times of day, along with some weekends. Some unsocial hours are inevitable and flexibility is vital.

Thinking Space is a unique initiative funded by The Henry Smith Foundation, designed to support care-experienced young people across Scotland. Underpinned by Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) principles, Thinking Space uses mapping techniques to help young people explore their past, understand how previous experiences and relationships influence their present circumstances, and consider the potential impact on their future.
This confidential and safe environment enables participants to develop positive coping strategies and build resilience. Following your induction and initial training, you will work directly with care-experienced young people in specific locations, offering them the opportunity to reflect on how past relationships may have shaped their sense of self, decision-making, and ability to form new connections. You will also support them in exploring learned coping mechanisms and adopting healthier alternatives.
As part of The Why Not? Team, you will have access to ongoing support and professional development opportunities to enhance your practice and impact. This role will be line managed by the Why Not Trust, Operational Lead. A UK driving license is required for this role. A secondment will be explored if requested.
