Role

We are Hiring, Join Your Team

Do you have a passion for connecting with people to achieve their goals in life, and enjoy the sense of achievement in empowering vulnerable people?

We have a fabulous Service Manager opportunity for you to join our awesome team, leading our Outreach Housing Support and Housing First Services which have been set up in partnership with Aberdeen Council to deliver innovative, responsive and evidence- based support to vulnerable people to enable them to live in their own homes, sustain their tenancies and so re-connect with their communities across Aberdeen City.

All the People we Support have their own stories and it is important that you are someone who truly understands this. They can have a wide range of issues and need our support and guidance to empower them to get on the right path. You and the teams will put the building blocks in place to support them to move onto their forever home.

You will lead our team of frontline support staff to deliver efficient, high quality, effective and person-centred services. You will provide support to empower people to live independently, re-engage with their communities and make it a great place to work for our colleagues.

Using your experience and strong skills in effectively motivating and directing colleagues you will also monitor service performance against contractual targets and ensure that the service is visible and accessible to referring agencies.

Aberdeen Outreach Housing Support Service

The Outreach Housing Support Service provides support to vulnerable people who are, or are at risk of homelessness. Our service principal is to promote independence and choice and to work with the people we support to enable them to lead the life they choose.

We support people to access ordinary life experiences including education, employment and social activities as well as providing support to sustain and develop relationships and skills for everyday living including budgeting, personal care and domestic skills for the person to maintain their own home.

Aberdeen Housing First Service

We believe that a home is a human right and that an individual is best placed to deal with the issues that often made them homeless in the first place, in a place they can call home. We believe that Housing First should be the default model for people who are experiencing homelessness and have multiple and enduring support needs. Our Housing First Service is based on 7 core principles, designed to ensure that people who have experienced homelessness have access to a stable home and access to person-centred support for as long as they need it. By adhering to those principles, we believe we will deliver effective and innovative supports to some of the most vulnerable people in our community.

TPS were the first organisation to introduce Housing First to Scotland and we deliver the Housing First Academy focussed on the Communities of Practice Hub, Training Hub and Housing First Europe Hub.

Your career with us means being part of an organisation with clear purpose, focus, and values where everyone can progress. We promote from within, several senior managers began their career as a support practitioner.
