Role

The Assembly is a growing group of people with a learning disability or autism who want to have more say in decisions that affect them locally and nationally in Scotland.

People come to The Assembly as individuals and not on behalf of the other organisations that they are part of.

Our goal is to become the world’s first Learning Disability Parliament where people with a learning disability or autism can influence and vote on things that affect them.

The National Assembly meets every Friday and Regional Assemblies meet every month on Zoom.

We want these groups to get bigger so that as many people as possible can be involved in decision making.

We are Hiring! Two Regional Leads + Two Regional Facilitators

The Scottish Government has given us funding to recruit four more people to join our Assembly Team.

We are now recruiting Regional Leads and Regional Facilitators for the Northwest and Southwest of Scotland.

  • People who apply will need to be from these areas

Regional Leads will:

  • Be people who have a learning disability or autism
  • From the Northwest or the Southwest of Scotland.

Regional Leads will have support from Regional Facilitators and the Programme Manager.
