Working within our advice and advocacy service, the Advocacy Worker will deliver an independent advocacy service to individuals in the asylum and refugee community by supporting and empowering individuals to express their views, wishes and choices as they rebuild their lives in Glasgow. The Advocacy Worker will ensure that individuals are able to remain as involved as possible in all decisions which affect their and their families lives.
Our ideal candidate will have working knowledge and experience of working in an independent advocacy role, combined with knowledge of the barriers to self advocacy faced by those in the asylum /refugee community. You will have a person centred approach to providing support and have a good knowledge of the rights and entitlements of individuals and families in our community.
This is a great opportunity to join a vibrant, dedicated team working in a diverse community.
