Trainee Key Worker/Outreach Worker

Role

CERT are a new charity which has been established to improve the economic inclusion, development and regeneration of Clackmannanshire. In the first instance the priority for CERT is to improve the economic wellbeing of young people.

We are now looking to appoint a trainee Key Worker/Outreach Worker to help deliver its first projects.

We have been successful, alongside 9 other third sector organisation, in securing a £500k Community Renewal Fund programme – Pre Employment in Clacks (PEC). pec.scot. We are responsible for the delivery of elements and its overall project management. CERT are also in the process of establishing other complementary activities.

The main functions of the job are:

Trainee Key Worker. In the first instance this will support PEC clients, and then extended to others after Dec 22.

  • Recruiting individuals to PEC. This will including
    • Handling enquiries
    • Holding one to one meetings with participants – either at drop in sessions or elsewhere
    • Developing action plans to suit their needs
  • Ongoing liaison and support with a portfolio of clients
  • Contact and support to encourage attendance
  • Project end review for each participant as they complete PEC and discuss next steps and encourage transition
  • Input and maintain real time online records in CERT based system
  • Provide miscellaneous client support and liaison with other elements of PEC for clients.

Trainee Outreach Worker

  • Work closely alongside schools, statutory, faith, and community-based organisations to reach out to those at risk of or who are economically inactive & marginalised within the community of Clackmannanshire.
  • Facilitating and organising participation and engagement events/activities.
  • Liaise with organisations and advocate on behalf of clients to support their access to information, support, & resources.
  • Establish and ensure the provision of a peer-to-peer approach removing the barriers and challenges that ‘economically inactive & marginalised communities’ experience to accessing support.
  • Organise and attend community events to reach out to communities who the project is aiming to support and reach.
