The new role of Engagement and Participation Lead is central to the delivery of our vision of giving our young people and families more opportunities to engage at the heart of our organisation, to share their experiences and to help design the future services that deliver what families need to thrive
We are seeking a compassionate, innovative and motivated individual with youth work and/or community development experience, to engage with COVEY participants across Lanarkshire.
This new and exciting role requires you to listen to what children, young people and families say and to support them to ensure that their voices are heard, and their ideas and vision put into action. To do this, you will work across the COVEY team to develop and implement a range of imaginative ways in which our participants and supporters can engage in the development of our work now and for the future.

Essential:
We seek someone with the drive, passion and vision to develop and shape projects; to think ahead and bring creative solutions where needed, being able to work in partnership within the whole COVEY team.
With excellent written and verbal communication skills, you will also be intuitive. Highly motivated and able to work under pressure you will be able to deliver on the desired outcomes.
There is a specific focus on supporting and empowering our COVEY families with experience of care. You will be able to demonstrate your understanding of the current Scottish policy and practice around supporting those with care-experience.
This post is 35 hrs per week and will involve out of hours and possible weekend working. Job share will be considered. COVEY is committed to a rights-based approach, to equal opportunities and to inclusive practices.
