Are you motivated to make a positive change to the lives of people who live in families that are impacted by the devastating, neurological condition Huntington’s disease? This is an exciting opportunity to become part our National Financial Well-Being Service (FWS.) With responsibility for overseeing the day to date operations of the FWS, you will work closely with multiple stakeholders – these include our team of Huntington’s disease (HD) Specialists, our national Specialist Youth Service and multiple external agencies to provide invaluable financial support to people living in HD families. As Financial Well-Being Service Lead, you will provide an integral role in the SHA Extended Leadership Team. You will be responsible for providing leadership, support and supervision to a team of 3 FW advisors, you will also have your own caseload.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, motivated and who will have a positive influence on the quality of life for individuals and their families impacted by Huntington’s Disease (HD) by managing and delivering a high quality Financial Wellbeing & Energy Advice service including welfare rights; debt advice; energy advice and financial planning & products. The post holder will ideally have experience in service management as well as mentoring & supporting others in the advice sector.

The successful candidate should be able to work autonomously in this challenging and innovative post. Good listening, communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as are excellent time keeping and caseload management skills.

Previous experience of working with Huntington’s disease is desirable but not essential, a substantial level of financial work experience is essential. This is a community post, therefore a clean, current driving licence and use of a car complete is also an essential requirement.
