At Children 1st our vision is that children in Scotland will be safer, will grow up in strong, resilient families and will have access to early help and support when they need it. They will have their rights protected in all areas of their lives. Prevention of harm to children, stronger, more resilient families and communities, greater respect for children’s rights and strong partnerships and community engagement will be our measure of success.
The success of the fundraising strategy at Children 1st has ensured that we have a strong platform to build from and we are excited to be investing in our Fundraising and Development team to continue with our planned growth and to ensure we provide our supporters with a first-class experience.
This role is a completely new post we are investing in to provide more support for our Philanthropy & Partnerships teams which are showing huge potential to deliver increased income. We are a team covering areas of income with huge potential – we have lots of ambition and drive and know that once at full capacity, we will be a force to be reckoned with!
This is an entry level role that is perfect for someone who is interested in joining the charity sector and wants to learn. We don’t expect you to have any charity experience for this role, just enthusiasm. The role will work closely with our Senior Fundraisers in Partnerships and our Relationship Manager in Philanthropy to understand the needs of our supporters across both income streams and provide support. We need someone who is solutions focussed, whose reflex is to say, ‘yes…I can help here’. You may not know what to do from the start, but you have the willingness to find out!
