Role

We are looking for a Registered Nurse (RMN or RGN) to join our National Specialist Family Service and Scottish Residential Service.

Supported by the Clinical Mental Health Lead the post-holder will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary team delivering high quality and effective nursing support. They will support the management and frontline staff to ensure services adhere to the best practice guidelines and comply with the regulatory standards and clinical policies and procedures.

Working across two residential services in Scotland (National Specialist Family Service – Saltcoats and Scottish Residential Service – Glasgow) you will undertake assessments and high quality physical and mental health interventions, responsive to individual, family and group needs (such as CBT interventions). This post will also support the wider multidisciplinary team in decision making and working with individuals and their families.

This post involves a high level of independent decision making, often with clinically complex situations, therefore, ability to work in this way is essential.

  • It is not essential that you have experience within substance use sector, but you must be able to demonstrate how you have worked within a multi-disciplinary team to gain experience, transferable skills, be able to build rapport with others and how you have come to be interested in drug and alcohol recovery services.

The hours of work are Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm but flexible working will be considered.
