The Role

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a company during the early stages of growth. To date our customer base has grown through social media and word of mouth. We have no sales department in place, so we now look to hire an experienced sales and procurement manager.

The role itself will evolve in response to your own skillset and vision, with a focus on increasing sales of embroidery services. We are looking for someone who will take great pride in:

  • Using your own knowledge and experience to develop a sales strategy
  • Sharing Wild & Kind’s vision for social change with potential clients and customers
  • Generating sales leads and communicating with mid/high volume clients
  • Researching suitable procurement opportunities and taking responsibility for the proposal and tender process

Essential Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have excellent written/oral communication skills. You must be able to adopt Wild & Kind's tone when building rapport and negotiating with clients
  • Be confident and experienced in using a computer. Experience using Microsoft Excel or Mac Numbers is essential
  • Thrive when problem solving, have a great sense of intuition and be a creative thinker
  • Demonstrate professionalism, and be able to manage your own time
  • Be innovative, open to new ideas and continually work on professional development
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of the procurement and tender bidding process
  • Demonstrate track record in self-generating mid to high volume product/service based sales

Desirable Experience

The ideal candidate might have experience working within:

  • The third sector
  • A print/embroidery/merchandise company
  • A leadership position
  • A bid writing role
  • A buying/procurement role
  • A Start-Up Company

The Person

We’re a company run by people with marginalised gender identities, so we look to hire someone who is sensitive to the complexities of this lived experience. We want to find for someone who is open, honest and kind, and has a genuine desire to work in the third sector. We are looking for someone who takes great pride in being part of a nurturing, empowering and cooperative team. You will thrive in a creative environment, and shares our passion for social change.

Salary

We are still in the early stages of growth, so we currently propose a modest base salary of £30,000. Keen to attract candidates with a high level of experience, we offer the opportunity to negotiate performance based commissions/bonuses.

Perks of working at Wild & Kind

  • By joining us at this early stage in our organisation’s life, there is scope for career progression. You will be instrumental in our development and growth, with the freedom to shape your own future within the company
  • We offer flexible working hours to allow you to maintain a positive and fulfilling work life balance. We can accommodate a hybrid office/home based work schedule
  • Paid breaks and 10 additional paid personal days on top of your 28 days statutory holiday allowance
  • Wild & Kind has a future goal of operating within a 4 day week
  • Wellbeing programme with access to counselling and support for you, your partner and children
