Our Hospital to Home services form a nationwide network of local support groups, nurses, volunteers and one-to-one support teams helping families adjust to life with a heart or lung condition or after a stroke.

As the CHSS Health Information and eLearning Clinical Lead you will be responsible for the clinical oversight of all CHSS Health Information and eLearning resources, including the development and clinical management of new resources which have attracted funding.

The post holder will collaborate with the appropriate internal and external professionals and advisory groups ensure that the content of all preexisting and new resources remain current, and evidence based.

Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland (CHSS) is seeking an exceptional leader to chair the charity through an exciting journey of change. It will see the charity extend its influence and support across Scotland as it delivers its ambitious No Life Half Lived 23-28 strategy.

The charity aims to directly reach over 175,000 people a year living with chest, heart, stroke and Long Covid conditions. It aims to ensure that everyone living with one of its conditions can live life to the full and access the support they need at the right time and in the right place.

The new Chair will spearhead this mission, upholding CHSS’s values and supporting the delivery of the strategy and new service model. They will ensure effective governance for the organisation, working closely with the Chief Executive and other trustees to build relationships and collaborate to ensure success.

The ideal candidate will have the following key experience:

• A strong and visible passion and commitment to mission of Chest, Heart, and Stroke Scotland and its strategic objectives and cause.
• Experience as a trustee, ideally as a Chair.
• The ability to demonstrate strategic leadership and strong inter-personal and relationship building skills.
• Leadership skills, utilising a coaching and facilitative approach.
• Experience leading organisations through periods of development and change.
• Ability to apply principles of good charity governance.
• Understanding of the third sector governance model.
• Eligible to be a Director at Companies House

You will be part of Scotland’s leading charity providing support to people at risk of developing, or living with chest, heart and stroke conditions to live life to the full again. Our services form a nationwide network of local support groups, nurses, volunteers and one-to-one support teams helping people live a healthier life and supporting families adjust to life with a heart or lung condition or after a stroke.

The Health Defence Coordinator will be responsible for the delivery of the Health Defence programme covering the Tayside area. The role includes delivering health checks; healthy lifestyle workshops; and supporting lifestyle change to reduce the risk of our conditions in local communities, particularly where there is a high prevalence of health inequalities and deprivation. The role will also involve the development and line management of volunteer roles to optimise our reach.

The Health Defence Coordinator will also be expected to support integration of Health Defence across CHSS while working closely with colleagues in the services directorate to enable CHSS activities where appropriate.

Aberlour Guardianship Scotland - National Child Trafficking Support Service

About Aberlour Guardianship Scotland

Guardianship Scotland is a specialist statutory service providing Independent Child Trafficking Guardians (ICTG) to all unaccompanied asylum seeking children, victims of trafficking and children vulnerable to trafficking who arrive in Scotland. We deliver this in partnership with Aberlour and Scottish Refugee Council on behalf of the Scottish Government.

The children and young people we help in Guardianship have been through unimaginable traumas. Now, they must cope with being apart from their families in a strange, new country. They face language and cultural barriers, and they enter complex systems which include the welfare, asylum and trafficking processes which are very complicated, and it can be difficult for them to understand.

We support young people to understand these processes, stand by the young peoples’ side throughout these processes, support them to access the help they need and advocate when needed to ensure their views are clearly listened to. Our guardians support the young people to make informed decisions about their future and to settle into a new life in Scotland.

What we are looking for....

We are looking to recruit nine Guardians, 2 based in Aberdeen, 1 in Inverness, 2 in Edinburgh and 4 in Glasgow. This service is Scotland wide, and you will at times be required to travel to other Local Authorities. You will work 37.5 hours per week, these hours will be worked in line with the needs of the young people and service and may include evenings and weekends.

We are looking for candidates who have a relevant professional qualification at SCQF level 8 and has, or is prepared to work towards, the Office of Immigration Services Commissioner Level 2 Registration.

You will have experience of working with young people and children, dealing with child/adult protection issues, experience of advocacy work, inter-agency and partnership working and a good knowledge or experience of the asylum systems.
