Women’s Aid South Lanarkshire and East Renfrewshire are a charity registered with the Office of Scottish Charity Regulator, we are set up to provide support to women, children and young people with experience of domestic abuse.

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Trust & Grants Fundraiser to join our team based out of our East Kilbride office. You’ll join an inspiring team who do exceptional work to support the most vulnerable women in our community.

We fully support flexible working and this part time role (21 hours) can be considered across a range of working patterns. Upon completion of probation and training hybrid working is also offered.

About You

You’ll have a proven track record of fundraising success in a professional capacity. You may be seeking to return to work or looking to secure a role where you can make a difference. You’ll have the ability to work on your own initiative and have great attention to detail. Experience of researching, identifying potential funding opportunities and applying for appropriate funding is essential. The ability to seek funding to develop new areas of work to enhance services to women, children and young people who have experienced domestic abuse Is an area we wish to develop further.

About the role

Typical duties will include leading on the development and Implementation of WASLER fundraising strategy, raise funds In line with annual targets, Identify and research potential funders to support existing services and develop proposals for new and innovative services. The role is varied and fast paced. The successful candidate will therefore have to be able to prioritise tasks and manage competing priorities as well as a methodical and well-organised approach to workload. Attention to detail is essential. This is a stand alone position reporting to the HR & Business Support Manager.

We are looking to recruit a MARAC Admin worker (21 hours) to provide a comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to ensure the effective running of the team.

MARAC (Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conference) is a regular meeting to discuss how to help victims at high risk of murder or serious harm. The meeting is attended by domestic abuse specialists who discuss the victim, the family, the perpetrator and share information.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in the use of Microsoft IT packages, have excellent organisational skills and the ability to work on their own as well as part of a team. The ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality is essential.

The salary is £23,740 per annum FTE. This is a part time post (21 hours per week) and is based at our East Kilbride office.

Role

Are you passionate about supporting vulnerable children and young people? Do you have experience of the dynamics, impact, and scale of gender-based violence, especially in relation to them? Could you advocate for children and young people?

We are looking for a Children & Young People Domestic Abuse Support Worker, with a Childcare qualification, to provide practical and emotional support programmes for children and young people who are referred to Inverclyde Women’s Aid. The successful applicant will develop and deliver age appropriate support programmes for children and young people who have been affected by domestic abuse.

Who we are

For over 35 years, Inverclyde Women’s Aid (IWA) has been providing vital support services to women and children across the Inverclyde region. These are free, impartial, and confidential services, focused on providing a safe space away from abuse, violence, and oppression. Our team of support workers offers housing advice, counselling, signposting, and employability as well as financial and practical support for women and families to build brighter futures for their lives.

Who we are looking for

You’ll have experience of providing support and information to vulnerable children and young people. This will include anger management, domestic abuse, crisis intervention, assessment of risk, safety planning, carrying a caseload, multi-agency, advocacy, and information. Any recognised Childcare Qualification or equivalent, as listed on the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) website, is essential.

You will understand the dynamics, impact, and scale of anger management, domestic abuse, and other forms of gender-based violence, especially in relation to children and young people. Experience of supporting children and young people in an education setting or community organisation is vital for this role, as is liaising with agencies and advocating on behalf of service users.

You will bring to the post:

There is a requirement to work variable shift pattern which may include evenings and weekends. You will have a full driving licence and access to your own transport and be willing to travel throughout Inverclyde.

What you will be doing

You will provide practical and emotional support programmes for children and young people who are referred to us through schools, education and other agencies and complete and maintain all relevant paperwork. You will also develop and deliver age appropriate support programmes for children and young people who have been affected by domestic abuse, as well as early intervention and prevention anger management programmes in educational or community settings for young people at risk of being excluded from mainstream education. Maintaining the confidentiality of those accessing the service is vital, as is ensuring that all confidentiality agreements are signed. There will be occasions when you will be called upon to prepare relevant reports for Children’s Panels, court proceedings or case conferences.

During the course of your work, you will promote the service to community groups, youth organisations and education providers to support and encourage children and young people to use our services. You’ll work on your own initiative but liaise closely with team members to ensure all aspects of the service are covered, which requires flexibility to meet the needs of the service.

Promoting effective partnership working and developing strong links with professionals from external agencies and the community are essential to maximise the support available for children and young people. Promoting our work, and the rights and needs of women who experience domestic abuse, to service providers and policy makers is also part of the role.

What you will get

The salary for the role £15.90 ph. You will get 42 days annual leave including public holidays. There’s a pension contribution and enhanced sickness pay. There will be opportunities for your own learning and development and coaching/mentoring will be available.

Fife Women’s Aid are looking for a full-time member of staff to join our existing MARAC team, working with women experiencing domestic abuse who are at high levels of risk.

If you want to help make a difference in the lives of women, children and young people with experience of domestic abuse, have direct experience of providing one to one person-centred support, an understanding of the causes and impacts of domestic abuse along with good interpersonal skills then you may be the person we are looking for. Applicants will have at least 2 years’ experience of working in a support or advocacy role. The MARAC team is a small supportive team with a wealth of experience to share with new workers. Training will also be provided for the successful candidates.

The successful applicant will have at least SVQ Level III or equivalent level of qualification in health and social care or other relevant subject, or a willingness to work towards a qualification.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a high degree of motivation and have the ability to work on their own as well as part of a team.
