Are you good at working with people in crisis, do you have experience of providing one to one support if you do then our Duty worker role could be for you. WASLER have a 35 hours a week (post funded until September 2023) and are looking for a candidate with an understanding of domestic abuse and its effects on women, children and young people who is able to listen to women and identify the support they need over the telephone and work with them to address these needs including advocating on their behalf.
As a Duty Support Worker you will provide a confidential, safe and supportive information service to women and agencies who contact Women’s Aid South Lanarkshire & East Renfrewshire (WASLER) through our crisis phone line and/or ‘drop in’ service.
The job involves ensuring that a high standard of crisis intervention is provided to women escaping, experiencing or requiring support with domestic abuse issues. This includes WASLER’s out-of-hours on call service provision.
