Role

Are you searching for a position with purpose? A role to make a real difference? Where your time can be transformational? Join an award-winning charity and passionate team dedicated to ensuring the country’s most vulnerable and disadvantaged young people are defined by their talent and never their circumstances. Our in-school mentoring has profound impacts on mentees in their confidence, wellbeing, achievement and post-school progression. MCR Mentors make and experience a life changing difference.

MCR Pathways is a national, award-winning mentoring programme dedicated to addressing the long-standing inequality in education outcomes, career opportunities and life chances for young people in care and those experiencing vulnerability or disadvantage.

In 2021 MCR were winners of a prestigious UK Centre for Social Justice Award CSJ award. The CSJ produced this film about MCR young person Emily and her mentor Elaine.

Watch Emily's Story

We are recruiting a National Head of Marketing to lead our team to drive forward our mentor recruitment plans and share all the fantastic stories of MCR young people overcoming their circumstances to realise their full potential. The process is centred on emotionally engaging potential mentors and volunteers and sharp focus on sharing our success, research and the statistics that prove the MCR model is transformational.

You will be creative, producing inspiring campaigns across multiple channels to different audiences with detailed knowledge of how success is measured. Our stories need stats to persuade policy makers and to show the huge benefits to the young people, adults and organisations. You will be a motivated, committed and resilient person who can lead from the front and be the mentoring and MCR Brand champion for young people, schools, mentors, their employers and the communities we serve.

This is an exciting time to join MCR Pathways and you will play a crucial role in our Management Team and the development of the programme. You will lead our busy marketing department to drive mentor recruitment nationally, increase the brand profile of the charity and support the team to drive new partnerships.
