Role

As an Employment Advisor at Forth Sector, part of the Shaw Trust Group, you will work with participants accessing our services to support them to secure sustainable employment using the 5-stage model of Supported Employment (client engagement, vocational profiling, job finding, employer engagement, on and off the job support).

This is a great opportunity to work with individuals to understand their needs and barriers in relation to finding employment and create an action plan and support strategies to give the participant the best chance of finding a suitable and sustainable opportunity.

You will coach and motivate participants, providing encouragement and practical advice and guidance, developing relationships with potential employers to help to promote our services and secure opportunities for our participants.

The support offered goes beyond finding someone a job, as an Employment Advisor you will provide regular support to participants for the first 12 months of their employment.

Essential

  • You will be an effective communicator, able to work with a diverse group of individuals.
  • You will be well organised and able to work to deadlines and targets.
  • You will understand and be empathetic to the barriers and challenges that participants accessing our services may face.
  • You’ll be solution focused with the ability to motivate others.

Successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
