Hear 4u - Children's Hearings Advocacy Service - GLASGOW
In this key role you will provide an independent advocacy service for children and young people at all stages of their involvement in the Children's Hearing System. This service is delivered as part of the National Advocacy Service for the Children's Hearing System funded by the Scottish Government. We have the following opportunities available:
Independent Advocate – part time (18.5hrs) and full time (37hrs) posts available.
Posts will be based out of Barnardo's Glasgow Office, Academy Park, Gower Street, Glasgow, G51 1PR with flexibility to undertake tasks from home.

Alongside the delivery of advocacy you will also contribute to service promotion, development and evaluation. Experience of working directly with children, young people and families in a paid or voluntary setting will be essential, along with a sound understanding of child protection issues and a current driving license and access to a car for business purposes. Experience of advocating on behalf of children and/or young people is desirable.
Posts are initially funded until 31st March 2023, extension subject to further funding agreement with the Scottish Government.
