Role
Are you an enthusiastic individual with fundraising and communications experience? Do you have a positive, can-do attitude? Are you creative and able to inspire and build positive relationships? If the answer is yes, you could be the person we are looking for.
About you
You'll have a proven track record in fundraising at a community level. You will have been involved in projects such as the winning and management of charity of the year or longer-term corporate/clubs/association partnerships, volunteer or people management experiences and supporter/customer engagement.
You’ll have excellent communication, networking and relationship building skills and be passionate. You’ll be tenacious, and motivated to make a difference for those affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a baby or young child and in promotion of risk reduction education to prevent as many of these deaths as possible.
This is a brilliant opportunity to join our small friendly but ambitious team and contribute to our recent record of growth. This role provides an opportunity to transition from a local charity to gain experience with a nationally and internationally recognised charity. We're brave, informed, compassionate and driven in our fight against sudden unexpected death in infancy and, if that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
You' will need a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle plus previous experience of working remotely and be able to demonstrate an ability to manage and motivate yourself; whilst still working collaboratively with colleagues.
About us
Scottish Cot Death Trust is the only charity in Scotland working to eradicate the tragedy of sudden unexpected death in infancy and young children. We support bereaved families across Scotland and deliver an extensive education programme to promote reduce the risk messages and raise awareness of these types of deaths.
Scottish Cot Death Trust is governed by a Board of Trustees comprising representatives from a range of professions including medicine, law, nursing, and business as well as bereaved parents.
An Executive Committee is responsible for implementation of the Board’s policies and advises it on specific issues.
The Trust’s Scientific Advisory Committee reviews all research grant applications and makes recommendations to the Board on which ones to fund. It also acts as a source of expert opinion on all medical and scientific issues.
Over the last 36 years, the Trust has funded more than £3,400,000 of research into the probable causes of Cot Death in a wide variety of scientific and medical fields.

Family Mediation West provides support to families affected by separation, divorce, and conflict. We have premises in Glasgow and Kilmarnock allowing us to offer services across the West of Scotland. We are seeking an administrator, with experience, to support a broad range of administration tasks within a family conciliation service. Full support and training will be given for this role within both the service provisions well as all our operational systems. FM West operations largely deal with service users, their family solicitors, and the Scottish Court system. The role may suit a candidate well that has experience of administration within a legal, charity, social work, or child services background. There is full training on operations available, and the opportunity to work alongside our current administrators who will provide personalised 1-2-1 on the job support to the successful candidate.

We are looking for a qualified assessor to support SVQ assessment across the organisation.
We are approved by the SQA to deliver SVQs in Social Services (Children & Young People). To enable assessment in this award you should have a relevant professional qualification at SCQF level 7 or above along with your assessor award.
Your experience should include working in a relevant care setting, assessment of at least 4 candidates through to completion of their SVQ’s. You must be able to demonstrate that you have experience of planning, preparation, delivery and evaluation of learning activities in a social care setting.
The post is 37.5hrs per week and will require travel across Scotland. Your work base can be flexible, we are able to support a mix of office and home working as required.

About Options Fife Continuing Care
At Aberlour we listen to understand what our young people want and need within our local area. Our Options Fife Continuing Care service in Glenrothes supports young people with learning disabilities and/or autism to live and thrive within the local community.
This service will be home to 4 young people aged 16 plus who will all have their own individual flat. Our rota has been drafted to suit the needs of the young people.
What we are looking for....
We are looking for a full time (37.5 hours, working 3 x 12.5 hour shifts per week) Young People’s Worker to join our team. You will play a fundamental role in our young people’s lives to ensure that they get the best possible experience whilst working towards goals in their care plan. Using a person-centred approach, you will provide enabling support ensuring the highest level of physical and emotional care, supporting our young people in their daily living and within the local community.
If you have an interest in working with young people, we would like to hear from you. Ideally, candidates will have social care experience, understanding of autism, complex needs and disability. You will hold, or be willing to work towards, a relevant professional qualification at SCQF level 7 or above (for example: SVQ3 Care plus an HNC) together with relevant experience of working with children or young people. You must also be able to demonstrate awareness of the key elements of working with people affected by disability as well as an understanding of, and commitment to, young people’s rights.
