Role
Ben View Resource Centre is a well-established charity offering vital services to the local community of the G82 & G83 areas.
This new post will have responsibility for the supervision and development of Ben Views community programmes including the staff and volunteers assigned to the programmes.
Ben View aims to help people stay connected with their communities, giving them a sense of belonging, easing loneliness and improving health and wellbeing.
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual who can inspire others and will bring new ideas and lots of energy to this great service. You will be fun, compassionate and able to work on your on whilst fitting in with a small but very busy team of committed individuals.
We are looking for someone who can build strong relationships, is understanding and patient and who looks to bring fun and laughter into their role.
Ben View is not just a service, it’s an “Experience”, our aim is for staff, volunteers, members and visitors to experience the sense of community and belonging we aim to achieve throughout all our services.

Muirshiel Centre (Adult Day Care) was established in 1991 as a local charity (Registered Charity No sco18185) and is managed by a voluntary Board of Directors who represent our local community. The Centre’s day to day operations overseen by a service manager supported by a staff team of professionally trained individuals dedicated to the care and support of our service users. We are committed to providing a quality, responsive day services that meet the needs of older people with support needs residing in East Inverclyde (Port Glasgow).
The Centre caters for a wide range of individuals including those who are frail / elderly, those who are socially isolated, are living with dementia, anxiety or depression, learning disabilities or those with mental ill-health.
The role
Are you interested in a leadership role in the delivery of a high-quality Day Care Service? An exciting and highly rewarding leadership opportunity has arisen for someone with the skills, experience, and motivation to support the delivery of adult day services in East Inverclyde.
The Assistant Manager has line management responsibility for a range of roles in day care including leading our experienced team of support workers, so some leadership and/or management experience will be beneficial.
You will have experience of working with older people. A minimum of an SVQ level 3 or equivalent or progressing to SVQ level 4 is essential as well as a willingness to undertake continuous professional development leading to satisfying SSSC Managers of Adult Day Care Service registration requirements.
In addition, you should have strong IT skills and excellent communication skills and a full driving licence with a D1 entitlement.

In this role you’ll aim to achieve this and deliver impact for older people in Scotland by providing leadership, insight and guidance to the fundraising team.
As a key member of the charity’s management team, you will bring your professional expertise and high-quality people management skills to develop the team to deliver their best.
Working closely with the Associate Director of Fundraising and Marketing you will develop and implement the fundraising strategy for corporate, trusts and community events income as part of the charity’s overall income generation strategy. You will manage, direct and support the team to meet ambitious annual targets whilst keeping expenditure within agreed limits.
You will maximise income with a focus on corporate, trusts and grants and community and events fundraising.
You will support with raising the profile of Age Scotland with a focus on storytelling, demonstrating the impact of our services and working closely with our Individual Giving, Legacies and Brand Manager to ensure all fundraising activity aligns with our brand.
You will work in partnership with colleagues at Age UK in the development and implementation of fundraising projects.

We're looking for a part-time Administrator with at least 2 years experience of working in an HR, finance and payroll administration role, using online accounting, office and database systems, able to follow, develop and implement administrative processes.
